ECHO provides health and safety information by fax, phone, television, Internet, and e-mail during emergency and non-emergency times. The program is noteworthy, because it is conducted in languages other than English by "in-language" hosts. Outreach materials and television shows are produced in multiple languages, including Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Vietnamese, Lao, and Khmer. Although the web site must be updated on a regular basis, the practice could be a creative way for all jurisdictions and organizations to enhance preparedness outreach and communication with special populations.
ECHO added an H1N1 page to address concerns regarding the 2009 circulating virus. Video, audio, and print public service announcements are available in 12 languages and promote influenza prevention activies, including staying at home when ill, hand washing, receiving a seasonal flu vaccine, and H1N1 vaccine priority groups.

Agency's addendum on copyright issues: The ECHO collaborative owns all of the intellectual property rights in these television programs including title, topics and translations. ECHO hereby grants you a non-exclusive, non-assignable right and license to reproduce and distribute at no charge the television programs, without modification, in the form of videotapes or DVDs. By reproducing and distributing any of these television programs, you are acknowledging that you understand and agree that:
1. The copyright in and to the television programs remains in and exclusively owned by the ECHO collaborative;
2. The ECHO collaborative shall receive appropriate acknowledgement in all reproductions of the television programs;
3. Any commercial distribution of the television programs, in whole or in part, is prohibited;
4. Creation of derivative works or works using excerpts, clips or edited portions of the television programs is prohibited; and
5. Copies of the television programs may be made and distributed with a fee not to exceed the cost of duplicating and distributing the materials.

links, and combinations of both. If a component part appears to have more than
one link, this is why: CIDRAP saved the documents and reviewed both documents
