Pandemic Influenza Planning Kit for Community Organizations (GA)

From:  Georgia Division of Public Health
Description

The Planning Kit provides a pandemic preparedness framework for community, social service, and faith-based organizations. The materials contain information on adult social distancing, home care, preventive behaviors, and organizational pandemic plan development. Since this draft was written fairly recently, it reflects the CDC's interim community disease mitigation guidelines and use of the pandemic severity index. The planning kit includes worksheets on volunteer coordination; informational meetings; continuity of operations planning; transportation needs; and identification of challenges, strategies, and resource needs. The toolkit may provide a fairly general reference source for community groups that are beginning to plan for a pandemic. Although the planning kit was written by officials in Georgia, it may have wide relevance for community organizations in other states.
