Disaster Readiness Tips for People with Disabilities (National)

From:  National Organization on Disability
Description

The Disaster Readiness Tips highlight a broad overview of preparedness for people with different functional needs. The brochures emphasize the importance of identifying needs and resources and encourage people to build a plan around their specific circumstances. Preparedness activities are divided into several areas that allow people to focus on one step at a time. The materials also highlight the value of a support network, which may be an important component of preparedness for people with functional needs. Although the brochures do not specifically refer to pandemic preparedness, agencies that provide outreach to people with functional needs may find these materials useful to their efforts.
